The 19th Commissioner’s Meeting between Korea and Japan

NTS had a meeting with Mr. Haruhiko KATO, commissioner of the National Tax
Agency of Japan in Tokyo
on the 7th of April. The meetings have continued extending
communication channels and enhanced cooperation of tax administration between
Korea and Japan since 1990. The issues raised
during this year’s meeting held yesterday were effective plans for coping with
offshore tax evasion and measures to strengthen taxpayers’ rights. They also
agreed to cooperate in building amicable tax administrative environment which boosts
more intensive trades and investment between Korea
and Japan.
